General Summary:

Utilizes expertise in patient/family assessment incorporating physical, psycho-social, environmental, spiritual, and financial factors to assess patients for barriers that interfere with the attainment of healthcare goals.

• Educates the health care team and physicians about psycho-social issues and identified patient/family problems as well as recommends strategies to address these issues.

• Responsible for assessment and treatment of individuals with mental, emotional, social or substance abuse problems, including abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and/or other related drugs.

• Provide short-term, structured, evidence-based psychotherapy as part of an appropriate treatment plan.

• Coordinate and collaborate with the primary care providers to improve health outcomes.

• Facilitate referrals to other services (e.g. substance abuse treatment, specialty care and community resources as needed.

• Provide clinical therapeutic services to patients, including individual and group therapy and coordination of treatment for participants with co-occurring disorders.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed.

• Maintain accurate and timely records of activities and services provided to each client.

• Provides ongoing patient/family and staff education.

Practice Overview

The practice is a part of North Florida Surgeons- Volusia County Division. Established in 1996, Headquartered in Jacksonville, North FL Surgeons now has over 10 specialty areas and over 125 carefully selected surgeons.  Based out of Daytona Beach, our Volusia County Division consists of 7 surgeons and 1 APP, with specialties that include bariatric, surgical oncology, general surgery, and robotic surgery.

AdventHealth Medical Group Breast Surgery at Altamonte Springs is seeking a dynamic and experienced board-certified general surgeon with fellowship training in breast surgery to join an extremely busy practice in the Orlando area.  This is an employed opportunity through AdventHealth Medical Group.

AdventHealth Medical Group is offering an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, experienced cardiovascular surgeon to join our established team of two surgeons located at AdventHealth Celebration in Celebration, Florida (just outside Orlando near Walt Disney World). Surgeon should have experience in all aspects of cardiovascular surgery plus an interest and strong skill set in structural heart would be required.

Our team has expertise in the full gamut of procedures including: beating heart surgery, minimally invasive atrial fibrillation surgery, complex aortic valve and root disorders, and minimally invasive valve repair and replacement.

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for a dynamic and energetic Colorectal Surgeon to serve the needs of Brevard County.  Candidate will partner with Health First Medical Group located in beautiful Melbourne, Florida.  AHMG Colorectal Surgery is seeking a surgeon with the desire to build a practice and foster collegial relationships with community-based physicians and Health First Medical Group employed providers.  Ideal candidate is experienced and comfortable incorporating robotics into their practice.

This opportunity will be an extension of the largest colorectal surgery group in Florida, working with 13 colorectal surgeons and 10 specialized Advanced Practice Providers.
