AdventHealth is seeking experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologists to support our OBGYN Hospitalist program in Orlando. Candidates will join our team of physicians and midwives supporting our Central Florida Division; Orlando, Celebration, Altamonte, Winter Park, Melbourne, Deltona, and Daytona.  Responsibilities of the OBGYN Hospitalist include primary responsibilities as a GYN surgeon, facilitating GYN consults, managing GYN clinic (supervised by team PA), act as surgical assist to staff Ob/Gyn physicians upon request; backup support managing and covering the OB Emergency Department; and provide appropriate oversight and clinical teaching of medical students, family medicine residents and other learners.  A motivation to increase patient safety and elevate patient satisfaction, along with dynamic communication skills and the ability to fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth, are required.     

We are seeking physicians with the following qualifications:

  • Current medical license (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Board certification or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Certification in adult and neonatal resuscitation
  • 5 year minimum of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Proficiency with hospital EMR systems

AdventHealth is looking for a dynamic Palliative Medicine Executive Medical Director to continue to develop and oversee our program at our major tertiary facility in downtown Orlando, this facility is in our Central Florida Division which consists of ten hospitals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the clinical leadership and expertise for the palliative care team to improve patient care throughout the hospital 
  • Continue to build effective relationships with referring physicians to ensure excellent follow-up by our existing team of palliative medicine physicians 
  • Facilitate continued  collaboration among specialists, PCP’s and nurses to meet the needs of patients and families
  • Continue the growth and development of the program throughout central Florida
  • Collaborate with leadership to build a strategy to provide palliative care beyond the walls of the hospital including outpatient, hospice and SNF's 
  • Continue growth and leadership of the palliative care fellowship program

Requirements of the position include:

  • At least Five years’ experience in Palliative Medicine post training
  • Active Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine along with active board certification through one of the co-sponsoring boards.
  • Previous experience in directing a program preferred but not required

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a dynamic Palliative Medicine physician to join our team in Altamonte Springs, FL. Our leadership has committed to ensure an interdisciplinary approach to providing care thus expanding the teams at our campuses. The inpatient division is composed of seven physicians, twelve APPs, six LCSWs and 2 chaplains over seven hospitals. The department has two fellowships, a one-year ACGME physician fellowship with two positions and a one year APP fellowship with two positions.  

The current open position is for a physician leader at the Adventhealth Altamonte Springs location in northeast Orlando. The provider will join two full time APRN’s to provide inpatient consultations. Clinical care expectations include goals of care, family meetings and complex symptom management in the inpatient setting. The program strives to foster a growth mindset and appreciates its wide diversity of providers backgrounds including psychiatry, family medicine, critical care and internal medicine.

Requirements of the position include: 

  • Successful candidates will have strong clinical skills and desire to grow with the program 
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine along with active board certification through one of the co-sponsoring boards.

Our leadership has committed to redefine and expand the program with a new initiative to target the entire hospital division. Palliative care is represented at five of these institutions with a plan to increase care and expand to all campuses. The current opportunity is at AdventHealth Winter Park campus. The position will help guide inpatient consultation services of the interdisciplinary team of advanced practitioners, chaplain, pharmacist and social workers. The program has a two person AAHPM fellowship so teaching, mentorship and scholarly work is valued. Clinical care expectations include goals of care, family meetings and complex symptom management in the inpatient setting. The program strives to foster a growth mindset and appreciates its wide diversity of providers backgrounds including psychiatry, family medicine, critical care and internal medicine. Spanish speaking is preferred.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Academic

AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and broadly skilled pediatrician with an academic interest to help build our expanding Pediatric Residency. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of our outpatient training experience and work in coordination with at the Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children.

In 2024, our program is expanding from six to twelve residents each academic year. The physicians’ duties will include academic/clinical teaching and administrative work. We are seeking board-certified pediatricians interested in working full time in an outpatient clinical setting with residents and medical students.  A strong emphasis will be placed on clinical teaching skills focused on preventive and evidence-based medicine. The successful candidate should be willing to engage in pediatric resident development and mentorship.

The faculty physician would work in conjunction with many of our AdventHealth for Children physicians and pediatric programs, including Bone Marrow/Transplant, Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics, Hosptial Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ENT, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Intensive Care, Infectious Disease, Neonatology, MFM, Neurology, Epilepsy, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Radiology, Surgery, Urology, and Weight and Wellness.

AdventHealth Graduate Medical Education is a Regional Campus for Loma Linda University and accepts medical student rotators from various schools throughout the country.  AdventHealth  has been training physicians since 1975 starting with its Family Medicine program. The Pediatrics Residency was established in 2013 and has graduated physicians bound for general pediatrics and pediatric subspecialties. Other developed AdventHealth residency programs include Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, OBGYN, Orthopedic and Radiology.

The residency program is located at the Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children.  The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is part of a network of 30 hospitals across the state of Florida. We are a non-profit, faith-based organization owned and operated by the Seventh Day Adventist Church. AdventHealth is the largest healthcare system in the state and our children's hospital is the only one in the system. The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children (AHFC) is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Pediatric Gastroenterologist with advanced training in Motility to join our team.  Experience post fellowship is preferred but not required.  In this position, the physician will be practicing the full spectrum of pediatric gastroenterology within the clinic and hospital setting.  You will also have the ability to shape the motility program both at the main Orlando location and in our outreach setting locations.  

We are looking for a self-starter and highly motivated physician to join our growing program. This new physician would focus on providing excellent care for patients with all types of pediatric GI conditions including a focus on the motility program. 

The pediatric gastroenterology division is part of a full-service program including four other pediatric gastroenterologists, three APPs, world class liver transplant surgeons, a robust intensive care group, and top pediatric anesthesiology and surgical results rivaling any program in the country.
