Qualified candidates will be board certified in Radiology with additional certification in Musculoskeletal Imaging.

Candidate should expect:

  • 1 PACS system (AGFA PACS and PowerScribe systems)
  • Reading musculoskeletal CT, X-ray, MRI, US and DEXA exams
  • Performing musculoskeletal procedures including arthrograms, diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasounds

CAQ in Neuroradiology or CAQ eligible required. We perform approximately 2 million exams per year via a large referral base of more than 3000 medical staff.  Our mission is to consistently provide the highest quality patient centered diagnostic and interventional service to patients and referring physicians, in a cost effective and timely manner.

This position is located in Orlando, Fl and will work 226 shifts a year with 12 weeks off vacation.

Candidate should expect:

  • Read 100% Neuroradiology including CT, MR, XR, and US
  • NO overnight responsibility with subspecialized internal overnight coverage
  • Advanced imaging knowledge is desired including CT Perfusion for stroke and MR Perfusion for brain tumors
  • Performing occasional neuroradiological procedures including lumbar punctures, myelograms, epidural blood patches, and lumbar drain placement.  Neurovascular procedures are performed by dedicated neurointerventionalists in the system.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Radiology, Pediatric

The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology are seeking a full-time ABR fellowship trained Pediatric Interventional Radiologist to join our expanding subspecialized practice of six pediatric radiologists and one pediatric neuroradiologist. The pediatric radiology group interprets over 100,000 pediatric studies per year.  AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology has 170 radiologists and provides a total of approximately two million exams annually.

This position will allow for the unique opportunity to fully develop the pediatric interventional radiology program at AdventHealth for Children. Extensive support from the administrative and operational teams of both AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group Radiology will be provided. The physician will have access to state-of-the-art equipment in a recently updated fluoroscopy suite, dedicated clinic space/time, and advanced practice provider support. Rotations occur at a single hospital site in central Orlando, and pediatric interventional call is covered by the adult IR section.

There is an engaging pediatric case mix with multiple opportunities for a pediatric interventional radiologist including:

  • Development of a pediatric interventional vascular malformation clinic: our growing Children’s hospital has a thriving pediatric dermatology group currently seeing vascular malformation patients. The ideal candidate would assist in developing the radiology components of this clinic, including overseeing imaging, and planning/providing interventional procedures.
  • Involvement with the AdventHealth Transplant Institute team as needed for interventional procedures: AdventHealth for Children has an active pediatric transplant service and is the only hospital providing pediatric liver transplant in central Florida.
  • Growing opportunity for musculoskeletal procedures following our recent partnership with Rothman Orthopedics.
  • Oversight/management of pediatric interventional procedures including biopsy, abscess drainage, etc.

Requirements of the position:

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a BC/BE fellowship trained Rheumatologist to anchor a growing Rheumatology Practice in the Central Florida Area. 

Active Cardiac, Lung, Liver Transplant and Advanced Lung Disease programs guarantee that you will serve a challenging and medically diverse patient population, and the quaternary care setting of this 1861 bed medical center ensures that high quality, specialty care partners are available to support your practice.

As the Advanced Lung Disease (ALD) program sees a large number of patients with Interstitial Lung Disease and Pulmonary Hypertension associated with Connective Tissue Diseases, the opportunity for embedded clinics within the ALD clinic and a shared EMR (EPIC) will allow for highly collaborative care with these specialists. The supportive infrastructure already in place for these highly specialized clinics can easily be expanded to support the unique needs of an active Rheumatology clinic.

This position initially involves primarily outpatient Rheumatologic care at the Orlando Campus with the expectation that as the program grows and additional faculty are added, inpatient consultations at the Orlando campus will be added in support of the specialty and teaching services at that campus. 

The selected candidates will:

  • Be Fellowship trained and BC/BE in Rheumatology. 2022 Fellowship graduates will be considered
  •  Be BC in Internal Medicine
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to medical education.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Mental Health Physician Extender is a licensed clinical professional (LMHC, LMFT) wo is a key member of the healthcare team working with patients and families in the critical care setting to address any barriers to mental and emotional health to support the organization's brand promise to Feel Whole. The Mental Health Professional works closely with Critical Care Intensivists to provide support services, psychological first aid, stress related coping, bereavement and navigation resources both within AdventHealth and the community. The Mental Health Professional provides coaching and intervention and is part of a multidisciplinary team that provides support for patients and family members facing critical illness diagnosis and care. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides short term supportive clinical interventions and resource navigation to family members to resolve presenting issues while conducting mental health rounding.

• Provide immediate intervention services for family members.

• Responds to and provides grief support to patients and families.

• Utilizes best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Participates in the development of strategies to support patients and family members dealing with emotional and mental health related needs.

• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings.

• Collaborates and partners with Critical Care Intensivists to extend patient and family conversations and care associated with mental and emotional support.

• Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies, and demonstrates continued growth.

• Collaborates with leadership and physicians in establishing a line of communication and understanding psycho-social determinants to attainment of ongoing best practices in patient communication, collaboration and support.

• Ensures patients and families are provided with effective communication of pertinent coping and mental health wellness information.

• Participates in all training, supervision and case conferences as required.
