Full-Time Surgical Physician Assistant

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant to join our growing Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery program at AdventHealth Daytona Beach. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a highly specialized surgical team in a collaborative practice environment that offers significant surgical first assist responsibilities, procedural experience, inpatient management, and continuity of care across both clinic and hospital settings.
General Summary:
- Serve as a surgical first assist across a diverse ENT and Head & Neck Surgery case mix
- Provide inpatient rounding, postoperative care, and hospital consultations
- Evaluate and manage patients in both clinic and hospital settings
- Perform office-based procedures, including flexible laryngoscopy, incision and drainage, and wound management
- Care for patients with head and neck cancers, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, salivary gland disease, swallowing disorders, voice and vocal cord conditions, and other complex otolaryngologic conditions
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, oncology specialists, speech therapists, and hospital-based providers
- Develop advanced procedural and surgical skills while caring for a high-acuity patient population
Schedule Details:
- Monday through Friday
- Primary practice location: AdventHealth Daytona Beach
- Shared call responsibilities, including nights and weekends
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Passion for surgical specialties and team-based care
- Previous surgical first assist experience preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
- Current, valid Florida PA license
- Certification by NCCPA (or equivalent)
- Current BLS and ACLS
