Full-Time Surgical Physician Assistant

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant to join our growing Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery program at AdventHealth Daytona Beach. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a highly specialized surgical team in a collaborative practice environment that offers significant surgical first assist responsibilities, procedural experience, inpatient management, and continuity of care across both clinic and hospital settings.

General Summary:

  • Serve as a surgical first assist across a diverse ENT and Head & Neck Surgery case mix
  • Provide inpatient rounding, postoperative care, and hospital consultations
  • Evaluate and manage patients in both clinic and hospital settings
  • Perform office-based procedures, including flexible laryngoscopy, incision and drainage, and wound management
  • Care for patients with head and neck cancers, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, salivary gland disease, swallowing disorders, voice and vocal cord conditions, and other complex otolaryngologic conditions
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, oncology specialists, speech therapists, and hospital-based providers
  • Develop advanced procedural and surgical skills while caring for a high-acuity patient population

Schedule Details:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Primary practice location: AdventHealth Daytona Beach
  • Shared call responsibilities, including nights and weekends

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Passion for surgical specialties and team-based care
  • Previous surgical first assist experience preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

  • Current, valid Florida PA license
  • Certification by NCCPA (or equivalent)
  • Current BLS and ACLS
