Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Neonatology

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic, innovative and energetic neonatologist to cover in our Level 2 NICU’s throughout AdventHealth across Central Florida. Our program at AdventHealth for Children has also been recognized as having the Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report. The flexible schedule includes both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (at home) consisting of approximately 7 shifts a month. The Neonatologist will cover at our Level 2 NICUs within Central Florida. There will also be plans to hire in a team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to cover the NICU at night. Additionally, we have a Pediatric Hospitalist on site managing the newborn service. The Neonatologist will need to be available, on call, for high risk deliveries.

The physicians will be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. Our regional network includes a delivery volume of approximately 15,000 births per year. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists.

Our reputation for delivering highly efficient, patient-focused and cost-effective care allows us to achieve optimum health and wellness for patients with an emphasis on healing the whole person - mind, body and spirit. AdventHealth Celebration has been serving the residents of Osceola, Orange, Polk and Lake counties, and patients from around the world.

Location: Melbourne, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Neonatology

AdventHealth for Children is looking for a Neonatologist to be the dedicated physician at Viera Hospital in Viera, Florida. One of our partner affiliates, Viera Hospital is nearly a 100 bed hospital on the east coast of Florida, approximately 50 minutes from Orlando. Live and work near the beautiful Atlantic Ocean beaches and shores of the Banana River. Melbourne Beach, Port Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Experience are also just a short drive.

Responsibilities of the new physician will include: on call from home for deliveries and C sections after daily rounds. Daily coverage and rounding on babies in newborn nursery. Higher acuity infants are stabilized and transferred. Hospital averages approximately 600-700 births per year with an average daily census of 6-7 patients.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are looking for a dynamic and energetic Neonatologist to join our team at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel to manage the newborn nursery with plans to expand our services to a Level 2 NICU in the near future.  A few of the recognitions and accomplishments that AdventHealth Wesley Chapel has been recognized for are the Women’s Choice Award for Obstetrics for 2021, IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals for the 4th consecutive year, Baby Friendly Designation in 2021, 95th percentile for Patient Satisfaction, The hospital has been awarded its 12th consecutive “A” grade from the prestigious Leapfrog group along with a CMS 5-Star Rating

Responsibilities of the new physician will include:  Daily rounding on babies in the newborn nursery and will be on call from home for emergencies after daily rounds.  Higher acuity infants are stabilized and transferred to AdventHealth for Tampa Level 3 NICU or AdventHealth Orlando Level 3 NICU.   AdventHealth Wesley Chapel averages approximately 600-700 births per year with an average daily census of 6-7 patients.  Physicians will also have privileges at AdventHealth Zephyrhills although primary coverage in house will be at Wesley Chapel with remote supervision of NNPs at AdventHealth Zephyrhills which averages approximately 500 deliveries a year.

AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth Medical Group are continuing to grow and expand their services throughout Central Florida to better care for our most precious newborn population! The Neonatologist practice with AdventHealth Medical Group currently has dedicated teams of physicians that cover approximately 8 campuses across Central Florida. We are now looking for dynamic, flexible and energetic neonatologists to join our growing PRN/Per Diem Team. Opportunities to convert to full time may be a possibility in the future. Depending on willingness and ability to travel, the schedule could include both restricted (in house) and unrestricted call (on call within the hospital’s required response time for emergencies). Responsibilities may include but not limited to – management of Level 3 or Level 2 NICU, delivery attendance, stabilization and resuscitation, ventilator management, intubations and family centered rounds.

We are looking for a physician with a collaborative and enthusiastic personality who is interested in seeing patients in the hospital and in the outpatient clinic setting. Our unparalleled network of 30 hospitals in the state with one children's hospital at the center provides an excellent opportunity for practice growth and professional development.

Responsibilities of the new physician will include: growing into high volume outpatient clinics with a wide variety of patients from age 0-18 and inpatient coverage in equal rotation with other physician group members including APP support. Location: Tavares, FL - Specialty: Physical Medicine and Rehab

AdventHealth Medical Group is searching for a dynamic, motivated PM&R physician to join our program located at AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, Florida – approximately 40 minutes from downtown Orlando.  This physician will join our medical director to support furthering excellent clinical work and thus increasing the total number of licensed inpatient rehab beds to 22 (from 12).  Our unit expansion will take place in July, 2024.

The physiatrist will work with an experienced support team of therapists, skilled nurses and dietitians providing care to neurologic, cardiac, orthopedic and general rehab patients.  A full complement of medical and surgical specialists will also provide care for our patients on this unit. The new PM&R physician would be responsible for acute care consults during the day in addition to helping manage patients on the unit.  A shift model with paid leave days provides for a balanced lifestyle.

Essential Functions:

The PA-C or APRN, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for: Clinical Responsibility

• Performing health assessments including patient history and physical examination

• Performs diagnostic procedures according to privileges and maintains log.

• Conditions treated include but are not limited to: Anal Abscess/Fistula, Anal Cancer, Colon and Rectal Cancer, Lower GI bleeding, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Diverticular Disease, Ostomy, and Intestinal fistula care.

• Orders, interprets, and incorporates diagnostic tests, studies, and lab values into the plan of care; evaluates effectiveness.

• Formulates appropriate diagnosis based on history, physical examination, and clinical findings.

• Plans and provides care within the framework of policies, unit guidelines and privileges.

• Orders pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies according to privileges.

• Provides ongoing patient/family and staff education.

• Collaborates with all members of the healthcare team including family.

• Documents in a timely and thorough manner.
