AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and quality focused nocturnist to join our growing team of hospitalists at our highly rated, 364 bed Hospital in Daytona Beach, FL.!

We are seeking a physician who will model and lead excellence in clinical practice, doctor-patient relationships, and professionalism while maintaining AdventHealth’ s Mission, Vision, Values.

The AdventHealth Daytona Beach team consists of (18) day physicians, (2) nocturnists, and (4) APP’s. Our hospitalists work in teams rotating a 7 on /7   off schedule. Our shifts run from (7a-7p) and (7p-7a) - 182 shifts per year.

Collectively, the AdventHealth Medical Group Hospitalists cover 5 hospitals in Volusia and Lake counties, allowing opportunities for collegial cross-coverage and additional shift pick-ups with generous compensation at campuses other than the primary campus.

 Requirements of the position include

  • Board Certification / Eligibility through ABIM or ABMS

 Practice Overview

The practice is a part of AdventHealth Medical Group.  Our hospitalist team is a substantial percentage of our Medical Group currently with over 80 providers. AHMG is a sister organization of AdventHealth which employs 350+ physicians in 27 individual service lines. This aligned model and practice management experience provides the opportunity for the physicians to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine.

 

Location: Tavares, FL - Specialty: Hospitalist, Nocturnist

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Infectious Disease

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking an experienced and dynamic Infectious Disease physician to serve as our Executive Medical Director of Infection Prevention.  This position will include a majority of administrative time with a smaller portion of the role as clinical depending on the physician’s interests and experience.

The Executive Director would foster a culture of performance improvement and coordinate the systematic implementation of best practices designed to reduce errors and improve patient outcomes. This physician leader would work closely with designated medical staff and hospital administration, hospital departments, and committees to carry out all functions incorporated into the infection prevention and control program.  This role would also work with our academic teams in our residency programs and interact closely with our medical staff leadership teams to adopt best practices.  Position would report from a clinical standpoint directly to our Chief Medical Officer.  

Requirements:

  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine (ABIM or AOA)
  • Board Certification in Infectious Disease 
  • Minimum of 5 years practice experience post fellowship
  • Recent leadership experience in a healthcare environment
  • Epidemiology experience is preferred
     

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Neuro-Oncology

AdventHealth Cancer Institute (AHCI) based in Orlando, Florida, is looking for a dynamic leader to serve as Medical Director of our Neuro-Oncology program.  This experienced, innovative, and energetic leader will help grow our program and manage neuro-oncology patients in our busy, high-volume practice (we have over 100 gliomas per year). The practice includes a dedicated social worker and dedicated chemotherapy nurse, with multiple satellites for chemo infusion at various locations.  AHCI also has a Gamma Knife, stereotactic radiosurgery, Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy, and an extensive, statewide radiation oncology program, including a CNS-trained radiation oncologist.

Ideal Medical Director Skills and Expertise include:

  • Minimum of eight years of experience post-Fellowship training  
  • Neurology Residency with Neuro-Oncology Fellowship or Heme/Onc boarded with Neuro-Oncology Fellowship (UCNS eligible or boarded)
  • A “thought leader” in the area of Neuro-Oncology
  • Published in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters
  • Experience in providing clinical education/training in area of specialty
  • Experience in implementing and participating in cancer clinical trials
  • Ability to encourage physician collaboration between employed and private practice physicians

Hospital Overview

AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway is a new, 100 bed hospital, open as of August of 2023. This four-story facility, located on the north end of Flagler County includes an emergency department with full-service imaging; five operating suites; endoscopy services; outpatient laboratory; heart catheterization labs; 20 critical care patient rooms and 80 general medical or surgical care rooms. AdventHealth Palm Coast is an established CMS 4 Star rated, 99-bed facility located on the southern end of Palm Coast with 7 Operating Suites and 2 catheterization labs, endoscopy; 18 ICU Beds; Specialties include cancer, orthopedic, surgical, cardiac, and gastrointestinal.

AdventHealth Neuroscience Institute, and AdventHealth Medical Group are seeking a General Neurologist for our expanding program in Central Florida.  New physician would join with our existing team of neurologists to provide General Neurology care with our current opening at our Celebration outpatient clinic. We are growing into one comprehensive team that will help to grow outpatient practices among our nine-hospital system in Orlando.  This general neurology role would join our subspecialty leaders in movement disorders, neuromuscular medicine, neuroimmunology, behavioral and memory disorders, and headache medicine in a growing destination neurology program that treats patients and contributes to the body of knowledge through research. AdventHealth Neurology and Neurosurgery is a nationally ranked program in US News & World Report year after year.
AdventHealth also has an advanced comprehensive stroke center providing endovascular procedures 24/7. Our neurosurgery program performed more craniotomy and spine surgery than any other hospitals in Florida. Our minimally invasive brain surgery program is one of the best in the state and draws patients nationally and internationally.  We also have a fully developed DBS program.

Currently, the pediatric neuroscience center at AdventHealth for Children has a level IV comprehensive epilepsy center, sleep center, multidisciplinary neurofibromatosis clinic, Tuberous Sclerosis Complex clinic, congenital neurosurgery clinic, and craniofacial clinic supported by a strong group of neuroradiologists and neuropsychologists.  The hospital has a 20 bed dedicated neuroscience inpatient unit with an embedded 8 bed epilepsy monitoring unit which will grow to 24 beds in a newly renovated neuroscience floor.  Diagnostic facility includes a state-of-art 3T MRIs, PET, SPECT, and MEG center.  

Responsibilities of the new physician will include our general neurology service in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  Subspecialty program interests can certainly be developed as well (neuromuscular, neonatal, neurocutaneous syndrome, movement disorder, and spasticity).

AdventHealth is seeking experienced part-time or per diem Obstetrician/Gynecologists to support our OBGYN Hospitalist programs in Orlando, Winter Park, Celebration, Altamonte Springs, Melbourne, Deltona, and Daytona.  Candidates will join our team of physicians and midwives supporting campuses in central Florida.  Responsibilities of the OBGYN Hospitalist include provision of in-house obstetric coverage for unassigned and emergent obstetric patients; act as surgical assist to staff Ob/Gyn physicians upon request; manage and cover the OB Triage unit; accept and manage maternal transfers; and provide appropriate oversight and clinical teaching of medical students, family medicine residents and other learners.  A motivation to increase patient safety and elevate patient satisfaction, along with dynamic communication skills and the ability to fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth, are required.

We are seeking physicians with the following qualifications:

  • Current medical license (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Board certification or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Certification in adult and neonatal resuscitation
  • 5 year minimum of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Proficiency with hospital EMR systems
