AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for an experienced dynamic and energetic APRN or PA-C for our well established, growing Urology practice in Tavares, FL.

AdventHealth Waterman is located in the beautiful Lake County, northeast of Orlando through the Atlantic coastal line of Florida. Our Urology network is aligned with our Surgical Institute providing multidisciplinary care to patients across the spectrum of digestive disease. Servicing both Lake and Sumter Counties we are seeking a partner APP to help build thriving practice. Inpatient and outpatient opportunities.

No OR experience required, however prefer 2 years minimum Urology office experience.

The PA or APRN under the supervision of the Physician, who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for the following:

• Performs physical examinations of patients; evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic urologic conditions also including urologic oncology within the clinic and hospital setting.

• Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.

• Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed

• Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff

• First assist with urologic surgeries such as removal of kidney stones, etc.

• Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth

AdventHealth Medical Group General Surgery at Winter Park is looking for a advanced practitioner registered nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our growing general surgery team in the Winter Park area. The ideal candidate would be comfortable working with multiple physicians and APP’s in an inpatient and outpatient setting. In addition, the ideal candidate should have a good surgical foundation as well as first assist experience.

General Summary:

The PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician, who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:

• Patient management and surgical first assist will include the following but not limited to: Skin biopsies, I&D, Catheter removals, Complex Wound Care, Hernia Surgery, Abdominal Wall procedures, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, and Lumps & Bumps

• Performs patient histories and physical exams in the office and hospital setting: new patients, follow ups, pre/post operatively

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities:

• Diabetes management education, high blood pressure education, and pre-pregnancy planning when not on call.

• Formulates appropriate diagnosis based on history, physical examination, and clinical findings.

• Daily rounds on new and established patients.

• Responsible for in-person and virtual patient visits.

• For inpatient assignment, assists the attending physician in the care and management of patients on inpatient units within the hospital.

• This includes making patient rounds, contributing to the decisions for daily care, writing orders, interacting with consultants, and facilitating and coordinating the scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures.

• Will make frequent bedside visits to assess the status of patients and direct care accordingly.

• Knowledge of methods ensuring safe working environment for patient, family, and staff including using appropriate personal protection equipment.

• Knowledge of theories of family dynamics, mother-child attachment, parenting, and adult learning concepts.

Education and Experience Required:

• Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studies

• 2-4 Experience in OBGYN and/or Endocrinology and Diabetes (preferred)

• Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (preferred)

Licensure, Certification or Registration Required:

• Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license

• Current BLS and ACLS
