AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a fellowship trained Pediatric Orthopedic surgeon to join our team (website) and continue to develop our outstanding program in Tampa, Florida. AdventHealth for Children (in Orlando) has partnered with AdventHealth Tampa with a vision to create and deliver high quality pediatric care elevating the local market and keeping kids close to home.

Responsibilities of the new physician will include:  growing into high volume outpatient clinics with a wide variety of patients, building a practice in collaboration with community pediatricians and developing a spine/general peds ortho practice.    

Requirements of the position: 

  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery
  • Board certified/eligible in Orthopedic surgery
  • Dedication to the highest quality patient care
  • Solid communication skills with strong work ethic
  • Team player mentality
  • Shared pediatric orthopedic call coverage is 1:4 with APP support

Practice Description

This is an employment opportunity that includes the benefits of second call coverage and competitive compensation. Other benefits include occurrence-based malpractice coverage, paid leave days, CME days and allowance, 403b retirement plan, health insurance for physician and family, and relocation allowance. This practice is a part of AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG).  AHMG is a sister organization of AdventHealth which employs 900+ physicians in 60+ specialties. Hospital Description

AdventHealth Tampa is a not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, primarily serving Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and other surrounding counties. Our Children’s units in Tampa include five PICU beds, 15 pediatric beds and 28 NICU beds and a pediatric emergency department.  Surgical and inpatient support is provided by growing and engaged pediatric departments to include pediatric anesthesia.
