Job Description

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for dynamic and energetic Gastroenterologists to serve the needs of Volusia and West Volusia counties, north of Orlando through the Atlantic coastal line of Florida.  Opportunities exist within the following locations:  Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, DeLand and Fish Memorial.   AHMG Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking partners with the desire to build a practice and foster collegial relationships with community-based physicians. Strong referral base and access to supporting specialists would allow physicians to quickly build a robust patient base and provide a continuum of care. Our gastroenterology network is aligned with our Digestive Health Institute providing multidisciplinary care to patients across the spectrum of digestive disease.

Ideal candidate should expect:

•    Daily work schedule of outpatient and inpatient care
•    Desire to handle a very high-volume case load
•    Practice all aspects of general Gastroenterology
•    Busy ED call at one hospital
•    Demonstrate excellent communication skills
•    Ability to start a new or join an established practice
•    Work in a small town or large, tertiary hospital system 
•    Access to GI hospitalist coverage in select locations 

A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence-based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care. The new physician should have the desire to join a busy practice and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth.  ERCP and EUS preferred, but not required.

Board Certification in Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA) is required.

Practice Description

The practice is a part of AdventHealth Medical Group.  This is an employment opportunity that includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation with a productivity model. Other benefits include occurrence-based malpractice coverage, paid leave days, CME days and allowance, 403b retirement plan, health insurance for physician and family, and relocation allowance.  AHMG is a sister organization of AdventHealth which employs 350+ physicians in 27 individual service lines. This aligned model and practice management experience provides the opportunity for the physicians to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine.
